Joanna Murphy, Jungian Analyst

soft as morning mist over fields,
that knows your worth
like the roots of trees know the earth”

About Jungian Analysis & Psychotherapy
Jungian analysis is a talking therapy, which aims for a deep exploration of meaning and identity.
Analysis offers time, space, attention, and company to explore what matters in your life and mind (the psyche), and your relationship to the outside world and other people.
CG Jung described how exploring the inner world of the psyche promotes a healthier and more authentic relationship with the outside world.

What is Jungian Analysis?
Jungian analysis is a depth psychology approach, developed from the work of the Swiss psychiatrist CG Jung and his colleagues.
Analysis aims to explore conscious and unconscious processes of the mind through dialogue, long-term relationship and work with images (dreams, stories, drawings, models…) to support psychological growth.
The analyst (therapist) and the client (analysand) work together in analysis. An analyst has experienced several years of academic study, clinical training and a long personal analysis. The analyst provides company and perspective rather than criticism or instructions on how to behave. In the course of spending time together, the analyst shares reflections on tuning into the parts of oneself which might not previously have had much “air time.”
This process can be demanding, creative and rewarding: it is a commitment to oneself.
Analysis is a deep-dive and can last months or years, though shorter term work might also be appropriate.
“I have been circling for thousands of years,
and I still don’t know: am I a falcon,
a storm, or a great song?” Rainer Maria Rilke
